Catherine Feazell
Niceville High Chorus Director
Catherine Feazell is in her fifth year as choral director at Niceville High School. She received her BA in Music (magna cum laude) from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and her Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Mississippi. She maintains active memberships in the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. She is also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa. Mrs. Feazell is the Past President of Mississippi ACDA and also served as the Repertoire and Resources Chair for High School Choirs and Women’s Choirs.
Prior to moving to Niceville, she taught for eleven years at Center Hill High School. Her choirs at Center Hill were selected to perform at the 2020 Southern Division ACDA conference, the 2015 and 2019 Mississippi ACDA Conference, and were also the three-time Grand Champions of the Ole Miss Choral Festival. Feazell also previously served as the artistic director of the Germantown Chorus and as the Director of Music at Hernando United Methodist Church. Her husband Christian is the choral director at Ruckel Middle School, and they reside in Niceville with their seven year old son, James Canon.
Michelle Tredway
Niceville High Chorus Accompanist and Choral Assistant
Michelle Tredway earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of West Florida and a Master of Music in Music Education from the Florida State University. She continued post-graduate Piano Performance studies at the University of South Florida. Mrs. Tredway has been a collaborative pianist for the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, the Okaloosa Chamber Singers, the NWFSC Symphony Chorale, many years of Okaloosa All-County Choirs, six All-State Choirs, and many collaborative performances over the years. Kodaly trained and Orff certified, Mrs. Tredway has taught elementary music, AP High School Music Theory, Middle School Chorus, and High School Chorus. Additionally, she spent 8 years as a Music Professor at Southeastern University. Mrs. Tredway was privileged to work as an Okaloosa County Middle School Choral Director for 10 years, during which her choirs consistently earned the highest rating of ‘Superior’ from all adjudicators at District Music Performance Assessments. Furthermore, while under her direction, her Middle School Choirs earned FVA ‘Choir of Distinction’ status all 4 years that that delineation had been in existence.
Mrs. Tredway currently serves as pianist at Rocky Bayou Baptist Church, where she worships with her husband Chris.
